we pride ourselves on using local produce and suppliers. the scottish larder has so much to offer and as an independent neighbourhood restaurant  we understand the importance of supporting local businesses.

 

there is something for everyone to eat at the left bank, we update our menus regularly and have daily specials to ensure we are making the most of the season's best. we strive to make even the trdional meals less ordinary - home made angus beef burgers on a great quality bun, our own beetroot relish, trademark fresh mayo with chipotle, ayrshire maris piper potatoes, scrubbed with their skin on and hand cut into 10mm proper chips then tossed in maldon sea salt infused with fresh rosemary, we try to make every element of each dish something a bit special.

 

we are conscious of the need to make life easier for those with intolerances or specific dietary requirements. we avoid the use of flour in dishes where it isn't strictly necessary, we never thicken our soups or sauces with it. we always have a veggie soup option which is also suitable for vegans and we stock soya milk and ice cream as well as having many veggie and vegan options on the menu. we keep a fryer free from flour for coeliacs  and we do gluten free fish suppers using gram flour. we even stock a gluten free lager to wash it all down with.
